This item just finished in the Ebay and I think is interesting, seems Philippino to me, the description of the seller was ;
This is a beautiful antique dagger, fresh from an old estate collection. The handle has engraved plates, which look like silver, but asre not marked. The blade is hand made, and engraved. The leather sheath is decorated, and complete. ITEM MEASUREMENTS This item measures about 16 1/4" long by 4" wide. Blade measures 10 1/8" long and 1 3/8" wide. Please tell me something about this piece. Best regards carlos |

Here is a picture of a dagger in my collection, similar in shape and size and with the diamond blade cross section. My dagger is reportedly from the Batangas region of the Philippines, dating from the revolutionary period 1898-1902. While rank and file members of the revolutionary organization called Katipunan carried a bolo tabak (a type of machete), higher ranking officers carried daggers made in the european style. This dagger is 14 inches overall, blade 9 ½ inches. The guard and end cap are brass and the hilt, made of turned damaging or carabao horn, is inlaid with twisted brass wire.

Hello Carlos, You haven't mentioned if you won this or not. I will jump in with trying to date it and say 1890 to 1930. Its the belt loop on the sheath that makes me wonder about dating it as most earlier ones were still using a frog for suspension. It could also be that the original owner had it especially made like this.
