Default Sudanese Spear?

I think this spear is Sudanese...it is about 5'10" overall. What do you think?

I saw one about 10' long recently - given that the bamboo shafts are flexible, how might they have been used? Wouldn't they bend on impact if used to thrust?

Looks Sudanese to me and a nice example. The shaft should have a little flex to it.

Very nice, looks well made/forged. The flex in the shaft acts as a shock absorber. If used on foot slashing type attacks are enhanced by the 'whippy' movement created at the 'head' end. Bamboo is surprisingly strong, but gets brittle as it ages.

Classic, lovely example, just needs a mild clean up.
