Default Ivory Kindjal Info Request

Here is another kindjal in my collection that information would be appreciated on. Specifically age and region. Thanks again.

Cheers

Curiosier and curiosier...
This is exactly what I mentioned earlier in response to your inquiry about another kindjal.
This one is from Guria, the very South of Georgia. Wide blade, square massive handle with a square pommel, and remnants of steel cladding on the scabbard. Regretfully, most of the cladding is gone ( leather is replaceable, of course).
Age? Who knows.... They were making those from the early 19th ( at least!) to the early 20th century. In the absence of dating info ( inscription, stamp) I cannot say much.
Pity Rivkin is not dropping by any more. He is sorely missed. He knows orders of magnitude more about such things than I do.
