The Surakarta Pakem lists dhapur Hanoman as :-
luk gangsal (5), sekar kacang, jalen, lambe gajah, sogokan dumugi pucuk ( until the point), tikel alis, sraweyan, ri pandhan, pudhak setegal This keris lacks pudhak setegal, the groove that runs to the point is not a sogokan, as far as I can see there is no sraweyan. I cannot match the features that this keris possesses to the Pakem, however, it could well be the attempt of a maker not familiar with court standards to produce a keris of dhapur Hanoman. I would give the pamor as ngulit semangka, I can see no characteristics that would indicate a Mataram style blade. In my opinion this blade is probably of East Jawa origin. |
