Are you sure windings are missing?

On my computer it looks like the ratan windings all have the same patin, but it could be the adjustment of the computerscreen.
And when they are missing, they are missing a long time ago, cause the patin is visible all over the windings?

BTW I love thick blades!

Hi Maurice,

about the windings i meant on the top of the handle , when i see photo,s of other pade there is often some rattan on top of the handle.

The windings you refer to ,are still intact with a nice patin.

I will bring this one next time i come by for a coffee.

Ok, but when there used to be windings at the top of the handle, I think you should also notice this at the patin of the top of the handle? If the patin is all over the same colour, I think there either was never a kind of ratan winding, or it was gone very early!
