Hello Willem,

Nice Minang blade! Not too sure about the selut and the hilt though.

Any new pics?

Regards,
Kai

Not to sure about the selut either...

I am busy cleaning the blade and thinking about another selut because this one is really below any quality.

Hilt is nice . carved and painted in red and gold. a bit weird but seems genuine.

Will post some pics when the blade is cleaned.

Hello Willem,

nice Minang keris. I think that the selut is original, not the best quality but ok. Very nice hilt and pendok.

I'm not so sure that the selut is as much bad quality as in bad condition. It looks to me that it may have originally had stones set around the top. At least those look like empty settings to me.

Thumbs up

Hi Willem,

Nice Minangkabau keris. Lovely luk 3 example. The blade form is nice, similar to ( mine ).. the selut form is original, top row used to be decorated with red stones, followed by wire-works decorations.. as David mentioned, the stones are missing.. ( see example ). Lovely hilt in jawa demam form.. does looks minang to me. Congrats!
