Thanks Spunjer. I suggest we offer no further comment on this item until eBay has taken action. Ian. |

Spunjer, I'm going to lock this thread temporarily. I'll send you a PM to discuss this further.

Ian beat me to the punch. Spunjer, please PM me with any details you have, as I'm uncertain what you mean by "the same item is being auctioned" (although I do have an idea). Thanks, man. |

OK. What has happened is Spunjer found a duplicate auction that was listed before the one he linked in the first post on this thread. The original auction is identical, except for the seller. Ebay and the original seller have been notified. |

The auction cited by Spunjer has been deleted by eBay's administrators. Another blow for sword collectors fighting fraud! Please note the "sticky" at the top of the list of Forum topics that relates to these and other types of suspected fraud by sellers on eBay. In future, your concerns should be addressed to eBay rather than here. The "sticky" explains how to contact eBay and report such fraud. Because many of us do purchase edged weapons and other items from eBay, these flagrant instances are very annoying and it is only natural to want to vent that frustration. All we ask is that you do not include discussion of current eBay auctions or post identifiers of such current auctions here. Thanks folks. Last edited by Ian; 23rd April 2005 at 12:52 PM. |
