Default More Raden Saleh's Painting

Yes. And these are more paintings by Raden Saleh from European collections -- I think they are all in the Netherlands, Germany or France...

Raden Saleh, the father of modern Indonesian painting. His home in Cikini, Jakarta, is now the TIM art centre.

Hi Erik,

What I was wondering is :
Is it part of a book, or just a loose page of a book ?

Best regards,
Willem

Hi Willem,

It is neither it is an original photo, as I mentioned form my photo collection.
The format is the so called CDV (Carte de Visite).
At the bottom you can see the name of the photographer in The Hague.

I have a small collection of these kind of photo's mainly of officers with the Dutch Military Order of William which is a military historic interest of mine (www.mwo.6x.to). This prince had a double interest to me, the combination of interesting orders (not the aforementioned MWO) and the keris!

Judging from what I have seen on the websites this is a picture not published before.

Regards, Erik
