A very beautifull hilt Freddy.
Nice buy. I thought you stopped collecting keris Blade seems very obviously bugis to me. It wurprises me that nobody stummbled in giving more details on the hilt, because very often they seem to have either malay or sumatra influences. On which I have absolutely no knowledge by the way. Just can see that his hilt is pleasing to the eye

Very unusual hilt form. Juz when you think we have seen most of it...
![]() It reminds me of the 'kakatua' headed hilt forms we've seen on some Sumatran Bugis keris, but this one is really different. |

Yes, my piece seems to have a small crest. Is this so unusual for this type of hilt ?
