Well, anybody could see that this is a great LT, even if they haven't seen any before!
But according to forum rules I didn't think we were allowed to comment weapons that were for sale at the Swap forum?

Hello Michael,

Just kidding

And indeed you don't have to be a specialist to see the quality of this LT.
It is very harmonic in shape patina etc.

Ben,

Langgai Tinggang might become something like the pakayun...
In the end they can be only found hanging on your wall

I only know that Michael has some .
So I will not get to the 10 Willem or are you hiding a few .

That's an interesting variation, maybe a small boy's LT?
To me it looks too small on the picture to be a real LT?
Do you have a picture of the complete parang so we can see the rest of the proportions?

Hi Michael,

is this another variation, or should we consider this not to be a LT but some kind of variant or transition piece?

Hi Maurice,

It looks like a "Stefan-variation" but as you have made your own pictures of it I assume it's no longer for sale.
I think it's a LT-variation #3 as I don't put weight on the added crowit features surrounding the kundieng. But that's just my ideas...

Nice buy!

Hi Michael,

What I specially like is the similarity in the hilts.
The LT you have with a similar kundieng, has also a similar hilt as mine.
The faces are carved very shallowly.
I put them together for better comparison.

I was surprised when I opened the package. It was better as I thought it was from the images. The balance feels great! Better than a regular mandau!

Best regards,
Maurice

Hi again,

I think you have mixed up my hilt and the kundieng #3.
Below is the matching hilt. The hilt you have attached is to the #1 version - the most common one.
Yours look really nice, much better than anticipated on the seller's pictures.

Michael

Yes Michael, indeed a mix up.
Sorry I commented too fast, before looking more carefully!
But the hilts do have similarities (both of them which I depicted, besides the different kundieng).
