With your & Mr Domenech's permission, I will prepare a static html page with this essay and link it from the main page.

I have derived many hours of pleasure from Mr Domenech's excellent book, although it is somewhat slow going for me with only a couple years of college Spanish.

I have been meaning to send Mr Domenech pictures of the very first "gaucho" knife I obtained (when I was still in college in the early 1970s). Although the silverwork is "rustic' compared to most of the others, it remains my favorite and clearly shows signs of having seen a lot of use. I will start a fresh thread for that...
