Angled, largest width <5cm Latok Malay, Melanau Angled, largest width >5cm Buko Land-Dayak The smallest one is an buku/buko Do you have the publication off Shelford if not let me now I will send it to you. Ben |

Nice collection!!!
The blade of the top one is interesting, it resembles a pandat blade. The hilt looks a bit strange on that? The brass dots I haven't seen before on a latok, interesting. Here is another unusual latok hilt variation. Michael |

I love the hilt as well. Great carving! Do you think it was ever been covered or bound on the handle?? Seems that the material would break or crack very easily otherwise, especially the way a latok strikes and the pressure on the hilt.
