Too bad about that punch on the chin.
But it doesn't seem to be a KO so... take 5 and get back in the ring again

Check the forum (search) for rencong and or rentjong.
There have been quite some nice examples posted by various forumites.

Personally I am alway suspicious about metal hilts and for me, scabbards should always be wood. although in Jean Greffioz book on keris there is one with a buffalo horn scabbard.

Hi Tim,
its a shame....but I expect many of us have regretted some of our 'buys'. Often, with so many things in life, the higher the 'risk' ....the 'higher' the chance of getting a 'dud'.
Still, on the 'bright side', for you, it doesn't happen often ...I am sure your next 'risky' acquisition will pay dividends
