actually if you look at the bolster area.. there is a little hint of pattern.. maybe some nice waterings on this...
it would be interesting to give it a rub with iron sulphate and see a little more.. nice blade Greg |

I'd say Afgani or Central Asian, and later to the kard itself (as late as mid 20th Cent).

The blade (wootz) is older. The reference was made to the scabbard and fittings.
