I fed my karud's rhino scales with lanolin .
Smeared it on and let it absorb overnight; cleaned the excess off the next day ; that was 2 years ago . I heat the house with a wood stove and the scales are just fine . ![]() |

Hi Rick, I wonder if the lanolin would be good for buffalo horn handles too?

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply! I've got a few older horn handles that are really dry. I've been using ren wax on them but it does not seem to do much as far as keeping them from drying out more. ![]() Robert |
