Hi All

The knife arrived yesterday and is a real nice example. I noticed that the tip of the blade has a small cut out at the tip but I don't know why? It looks purposely done may to help it penetrate more easily?

I really think these tips are some kind of armor piercing point (soft armor ).

This is probably the best khodmi I have seen, and is no doubt a status piece. It has the most intricate and decorated scabbard I have even seen on one.

The legend of the notched blade tips again resurfaces!! Everybody turn your hymnals (Wagner "Cut and Thrust Weapons", the Austrian section, there are 18th century swords with notched tips).
