Default Keris adat

I understand that according to custom in Indonesia, you can only hang a keris a certain way. Can anybody tell me somethinh about it?

Welcome to the forum Joost.
The keris customs in Indonesia can vary greatly from region to region. BY hanging to you refer to on one's person or on a wall. Indonesia is made up of many related, but different cultures and you will find that each island or area has a slightly different way of doing things.

perhaps it is part of Indonesian unspoken language,

if you place your keris properly,
you will place yourself properly too.
(from manner perspective)

if you place carelessly something important for you,
how will you treat everything that you consider less important?
while less important to you, perhaps, most important to other
