Nice keris and a good price. Seems Balinese to me. I have a keris with a similar hilt. They say the cord wrapping is human hair.

Not a bad keris, Bill. Typical Balinese style of blade of middle quality, are there a couple of gaps from the blade? You can probably rework the eges to remove the worst of this gapping. You could always ignore it, but I think one of these gaps is a bit too big to be acceptable.
The handle is a bit knocked around, but should be easy enough to tidy up. Pity about the gandar veneer. Only way to fix this is with a pendok. |
