Default Need help identifying Toledo sword?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I'm really glad I found it. I've been reading a lot of the posts and it is helping me a lot identifying some swords I have.
I recently bought this sword that reads "Fabrica de Toledo 1907"... but I haven't found any information about it... have any one seen one of these? thanks a lot for your help!

Hi, Fed.

Haven't seen any exactly like this one. It's not an actual regulation pattern, AFAIK, so it opens the field to a wide variety of explanations. The blade seems indeed to come from the Toledo Factory, as does in fact the rest of the sword, that shows a combination of styles that would remind of a "modern" (i.e., beginning of the 20th c.) rendition of an "old" pattern (probably the so-called Spanish 1796 Line Cavalry Pattern, a bit controversial in its year pattern's attribution), for particular use, not necessarily strictly military, although could be (a present, a ceremonial sword, a civilian uniform...). I've seen many swords in different patterns made in the Fábrica de Armas de Toledo for this purpose, and in this case the initials in the hilt seem to reinforce this attribution.

But, no mistake, is a product of quality, nonetheless, and beautifully preserved.

Thank you Mark for your feedback. They told me it belonged to the "Guardia Real" and that it was made as a "sable de capricho". But I'm not really sure. I'm happy that this is a real toledo sword.
Thanks again!
