I believe this type of scabbard is of Mindanao origin. Brass asang asang ?? Most of the Moro stuff is here in the States . |

$225.00 US is not a bad price; but personally I do not love the workmanship on this piece.

I agree - don't like the quality on it. Brass mounts are not unheard of. I suspect that some of this metal is more recent than the original blade. I would place the scabbard at being Maguindanao, which is the only group as far as I know that has this scabbard style as one of the varients.
