Hi lelang69,
I do not know much about keris, but here goes... The sheath is a Surakarta styled Ladrang form. It's definitely not gayaman/ganyaman. The wrangka is gandar iras, as mentioned by David. (There seems to be a large split/crack/break along the vertical line of the wood grain, I guess). The oversheath (pendok) is pendok blewah. The hilt (ukiran/jejer), is in the Surakarta Yudowinatan form (as mentioned). The hilt ring (mendak), is a bit too small and not of known Solo/Surakarta form. The blade's luk form is fashioned in the style of luk Kemba (gentle waves). The blade tip (panetes), is nyujen (narrow tapered point). I hope it helps. The blade and pamor looks nice. ![]() I'll leave it to the more knowlegeable members to comment. ![]() The pictures are blur, dark and small. The angle of which it were taken doesn't help either. ![]() Last edited by Alam Shah; 22nd March 2007 at 10:32 AM. Reason: spelling |
