help to identify this short weapon

Call me crazy, but that hilt looks suspiciously Sumatran to me.

I think this is an Indonesian weapon, not from the Philippines.

If I look at this I see a pedang luwuk.

The handle is a form that is not uncommon in Central Jawa.

The scabbard is typical of low quality items of this type.

Ferrylaki has told us that he is located in Central Jawa.

In 40 years of visiting Central Jawa I cannot recall ever having seen a single weapon from the Philippines.

That would explain the difference in the blades. Form follows function so it's not surprising that there would be similarities in the overall shape, but weapons from the Phillipines are not normally noted for having visible pamor like this.
