Thank you for your response. I'm still trying to figure out what the pommel is made from. It has a translucent quality when held to light, maybe a light colored horn? Any comments on the hole in the blade or what its purpose was? It has definitely been there since the blade was forged. |

This does look PI work. I think this long bladed knife is modeled after the style of knives from Albacete in Spain during the late 19th C. Marc could likely provide more details. Thereis an old thread here: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2793 Ian. |
