Given recent prices for ivory-hilted kris this one was a relative steal.

More in keeping with how these swords were valued a year or two ago. Maybe the mislabeling of this piece and the current depressed market in swords kept it from going higher.

Like rhysmichael I had a small flutter on this one but did not come close. I did pick up its companion from the same dealer:

I think mine has some age although it needs a little care and attention. The small punto and the style of scabbard struck me as perhaps Yakan in origin -- any thoughts?
