Use of Actual Vintage Arms as Props in Early Films

I was surprised last year when visiting a second hand/ antique shop in Queensland when among a pile of rubber stunt guns and various movie props there were two Omani/Yemani muskets. Beautiful turkish barrels possibly converted from flintlock back to matchlock. most of the silver fittings were gone and the wood was in bad condition but for $150 AUD for the pair i was very happy.
what made it better was my wife telling me that if I come out of that shop with a sword I will be in trouble!
