I would guess most of these are indeed from Lebanon and were produced there and sold in other areas. The bulk of them you see date from WW1 and WW2 and are from Australian troops. I have a bunch of them too. B. I suspect they were produced in some numbers in southern Lebanon. You can see period pictures of people from Lebanon wearing them.
