I now have this one in hand and can confirm that the scabbard was originally glued around its edges. The scabbard and hilt show some wear and may be from 1960-1980, perhaps later. The blade is clean and not laminated. Residual marks on the hilt show that it was once covered with a series of plaited rattan rings up to the pommel.
