DHL Express, a division of Germany’s Deutsche Post, said it would suspend global business-to-consumer shipments worth over $800 to individuals in the United States from April 21, as US customs regulatory changes have lengthened clearance.
DHL blamed the halt on new US customs rules which require formal entry processing on all shipments worth over $800. The minimum had been $2,500 until a change on April 5. source: Reuters (last Saturday) |

Please see heading 9705, this is a link to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States Revision 10 (2025) it sets forth the tariffs to be applied to various goods upon entry to the USA, I do not know if the recent chaotic changes to USA tariffs will affect this, but each country across the world has its own Harmonised Tariff Schedule and follows a similar pattern in application of the relevant tariff philosophy.
This link provides the most recent version of the Schedule, Revision 10 (2025). This is what needs to be watched. https://hts.usitc.gov/reststop/file?...e=Chapter%2097 Last edited by A. G. Maisey; 23rd April 2025 at 12:49 AM. |
