Hi
Here is my malay sundang with tulang bulat fuller . Might be from terengganu or pattani. The blade is 20 inches long and very lightweight. |

Welcome to the Forum! Thank you for posting this interesting example. It has a lovely laminated blade and the pommel is the most realistic portrayal of a kakatua that I have seen on a sundang or Moro kris. Do you have any idea of how old this sundang may be? To me, this looks like a large keris. Outside of the dress, what makes this sundang versus keris?
