Hi Green,
Thanks so much for posting these. There is one in particular that caught my eye. It is the bottom one in the attached picture from your site. It has a lot of characteristics in common with a Moro kris. The arrangement of the secar kacang and gandik is very similar to that seen on some Sulu and Maguindanao kris. Similarly the kakatua pommel with side panel. The blade looks fairly old, with quite a lot of wear on the greneng. Would you like to suggest an age for that blade? Regards, Ian . |

I believe that is a malay sundang (kris). I have no idea of its age.
There are a few sundangs apart from this one if I recall correctly. The main exhibitions are items on red cloth and yellow ones. |
