Hi All

The jambiya arrived today and it is definately rhino horn The dagger is quite solid and the blade is of excellent quality forged not stamped out. The silver work is top notch. This jambiya must date back to 1850s-70s. I will try to have the scabbard restored but if not I have a friend that visits his family once a year in Yemen and will ask him to have one made up for me. Here are a couple of photos of the jambiya. Another photo to my other one for comparison. The bottom one I picked up from Artzi's table a couple of years ago. Both are of exception quality.
