For a Malay (Kelantan/Patani /Malaysia) dress the pendokok is perfectly suitable for this hilt. Both came from the same region; at least that's how I understand it. I may be wrong as my keris knowledge is still quite rudimentary although I am from Kelantan. To get the blade fit properly in this sheath is easy for me as I have keris sheath and hilt maker here that can do all sorts of repairs for me. David; Yes I mean dhapur . My use of correct terminology is sadly wanting especially for keris outside of Malaysia. If you don't mind, can you show us the dress of your keris? |
