That's interesting. It's a one piece though isn't it ? I had a restored one but it too had a one piece construction.

Yes it's a real beauty ! Nice etching too which I think may have been gilded.

I am not saying that it is fake but I find the form very odd particularly when I compare with other examples of French close helmets.
