Default Masai Shield

Hi,

I have been offered the below shield as part of a swap.
I saw shield a few years ago and said to owner if you are ever moving this on let me know.
It is about 3 foot tall going on memory

So do you think it might be original and if so from what period, it is boat shaped and of V sturdy construction

Regards,

Ken

It is not the classic Masai shield being too short. Certainly an East African shield perhaps as far north as South Sudan. My guess would be mid 20th century.
