PERHAPS THE KNIFE IS MADE AS IT IS TO FACILITATE ITS USE WHILE HANGING IN A PALM TREE HIGH ABOVE THE GROUND WHERE A SPECILIZED CUTTING TOOL WOULD BE VERY HANDY.
