Keris blade for identification...discussion

Hi Shahrial. I thought that with the carita the fullers extended the length of the blade, though i must admit i know less about peninsula blades than i'd like. Nice keris though, i like it.

Is there any dress?

David, the standard carita does extend to the end of the hilt, afaik.
I'm just suggesting, I'm not sure myself.

No dress for this one. It came with a balinese bebondolan hilt.
That's about it. I don't think it Balinese, though.

This blade is probably Kelantanese, from the style of the greneng and the fullers, which are highly unusual.

After comparing with one of Dave's keris (from Rangsang Rias II 2006, Keris Competition Winner), it's more or less confirmed to be a Kelantanese keris. Thanks for the assistance.

Will post an update once the fitting had been completed.

The sari bulan sheath is one of the most beautifully done example that I have seen. The way the daun-daun (the 2 tips of the sheath) curves out and then back in, before stretching out to form the caping (the point in the top-middle part of the sheath) can be described as almost 'sensuous'.
