First off my apologies for the long delay in posting this...some jobs can be a real pain at times.
This knife measures just over 22-inches, in length damage appears to be period. Markings are on the damaged side. If the pictures of the markings are not sufficient let me know and I will try scanning better ones. This is not Khyber: nothing Afghani here.
Greek dagger with a Yataghan-like handle. The date is 1800? Still under Ottoman rule. Looks almost military or, more likely, naval style, as based on the anchor. |

Ariel, I agree with your opinion about Greek origin and naval motives. I cannot read the date but 1800 is too early for the style of decoration on the blade. I would say end of 19th century like the other knife. The scabbard is more recent. Also I have the sister of the other knife in my hands.
