Whoever was wearing that armor when it took a hit sufficient to fracture the horn plate probably did not survive the blow. Penetration at that point likely resulted in a blow to the heart. Someone else probably repaired it.

So ian, are you with Charles and Artzi, that originally the plate would have been totally replaced rather than "fixed"?
