Carlos, I am very happy to see that you are the one who won this wonderful piece and for one, very jealous of your good fortune. I am looking forward to seeing new photos of it after it arrives and you have had time to clean the blade and give a light polish to the silver. Because of of the blades distinct shape it is easy to tell that the beautiful tooled leather scabbard was made for this sword, but at the same time because of its almost pristine condition I am wondering if it is the original scabbard for this piece or a later replacement? Either way I do not think it makes any real difference as with most pieces of this age, the leather scabbards are usually completely missing or are badly worn or damaged. Congratulations on this great new addition to your collection.

Best,
Robert

Great piece. I see silver and horn, complete!

This is not a Moro piece but it is from Luzon. I forget the blade type. Looks very complete. Are you sure the metal is brass and not silver?

Hello Jose,

I think that Carlos know that it is a Luzon bolo and the fittings are from silver, the description was from the seller.

Regards,
Detlef
