There is no problem with the topic, which is fascinating & perfectly legitimate fodder for discussion here. The earlier problem was with describing the more lurid details of the hunt, and graphic photographs of modern elephant ... let's say abuse.

I know there is an even earlier thread out there somewhere on this, actually, which was also very good.
