Campilon with twistcore.

Dave,
Beautiful and unique piece...the first I have seen with this type handle. Although probsbly not related at all I find the handle carving interestinly similar to the sun and stars motif found on many Katipunan age weapons and motif adapted for the Filipine Flag (1898 -present).
May not even be related but the three flowers arranged in a triangle around the centeral flower sure seems similar...again great piece with a great blade.

ITS INTERESTING WHEN WE FIND SOMETHING NEW WE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT AN ITEM WE HAVE HAD FOR YEARS. WHAT A TREAT IT MUST HAVE BEEN TO FIND SUCH AN INTERESTING PATTERN ON A OLD AND FAMILIAR BLADE.
