Default Turkish yataghan - Translation request

Hi, I recently purchased this well used Turkish yataghan (so I am told).
Most of the goldwork has gone. I hope there is one side still readable.
Any comment would be welcome. Thanks.

Hi Congoblades. I'll take a stab. What I can tell you is that the piece looks like it comes from the Balkans when they were under Ottoman rule. The hilt is made of 2 horn "ears". The scabbard is either new or parts are new, like that below the throat. I would bet that the blade is mono-steel, and from the mid-late 19th century.

Thank you Battara. The blade is indeed mono-steel. There are some repairs at the scabbard. The family of the previous owner has obtained it early 1900.

Translation for the first line is,

"Who holds on to god survives and who disobeys him is doomed"
