Smile UNUSUAL DAYAK MANDAU

THIS IS THE FIRST DAYAK MANDAU I HAVE SEEN WITH WRITING ON THE BLADE. I CAN'T MAKE OUT WHAT IT SAYS , PERHAPS SOMEONE HAS THE COMPUTER SKILLS TO MAKE IT CLEAR AND SEE WHAT IT SAYS.

Nice find Barry,

It seems to be something written in Jawi?
It is quite rare but I recall that we have seen a mandau here on the forum before with both jawi and "magic squares" on its blade (from one of the Dutch collectors here).
I have also seen another one in a Danish collection.

So to summarize, it seems to be a very rare phenomenon - congratulations!

Michael
