I agree with Gavin that the hilt and cup of Willem's keris seems to have traits of Karo Batak influence.
As a reference, check the Krisdisk of Sejr-Jensen 9,3:16.

I am not versed in this reference and will endevour to obtain a copy for future reference.
If you find the time, could you photograph the reference from your computer screen when running the disk?

Gavin, this CD is a must if you are interested in keris from all over the archipelago (and not only Java).

Hi Michael,

I have taken an interest in Malay and Sumatran Keris over the last 24th months or so and continue to learn as we all do...I like the unusual ones like that presented in Zonneveld and the collection is growing nicely.

I will obtain a copy of the CD and the screen shot is very helpful, thank you.
