The copper bands, style of wood carving and overall form make me think it is from the Congo. That area is not my specialty but hopefully others will see this post and help you make a more detailed ID.

Congo, I agree. Tribe I don't know, seems rather uncommon.
But it's definitely a good quality spear, nice patina, my guess would be early 20th C which is very good for Congo stuff. |
