Detlef,

I am positive that it is not antique.
If it is later and made for local use or if it is made for collectors is harder to tell. I lean towards the last alternative.
The old palitai in museums and old collections have very good quality blades and are usually larger in size.
I also suspect that the feathers etc. are attached to pimp it up.
You can compare the features yourself if you check either the Leiden or Tropen online databases. They both have several palitai in their collections.
