I agree with Gav, the waves on the blade are unfortunate. Maybe there was deep rust on the blade and it had to be removed.

Just a thought.

very good point Battara, your point of view associated with, the one, from Gav

Hey Dom,

Its a decent piece, but like you I didnt bid on it because it seems that the blade was modified at some point in its life. I think as Gav and Jose have said, the blade may have been damaged and the waves was the last resort for the restorer.

Non the less, congrats to whoever won it as its an interesting piece :-)
