Thank you Robert.
I used precast silver pieces and carefully drilled holes into them. Then I used thick silver wire and very carefully and delicately balled the ends that stood out above the silver pieces with a blow torch while on the hilt. The pin is made of brass where I flattened the ends. The finial ring I made out of a solid piece of silver ingot. Here is a picture of it in progress: |
