sorry for not introducing myself earlier, i was abit excited about translating inscriptions rather then introducing myself. I am Abdullatif Alnakkas, an arms collector from Kuwait. I started about a year ago but always been a fan of arms.

Currently my collection is too small to show (or maybe am just too worried about finding that alot of it is modern production!.. i certainly hope not ) but as soon as i feel its worth showing, i'll add it.

Hello and welcome , I am a new member too. I have just posted some kaskaras from my collection with arabic script and would be so grateful if you can give me any idea about their meanings. I was in your country during the first Gulf war hope to return under nicer circumstances !

It was in fact a desire to have a blade inscription translated that first led me to this forum. Us non-Arabic speakers are always grateful for the kindness and helfulness shown by our forumites in providing such assistance.

Please do not be worried that your collection may be small. We all started at some time with 1 item! That is how collecting starts,and then grows and grows and grows!! Most of us have also found at times that an item is not what we had expected it to be, but that is how we learn!
