I was lucky to be in town today. I took a few pictures I do not think many of us have seen before. This scrumptious Owl? USA pacific north west coast, club with inset human teeth is in the Kings library in the British museum which is separate from the main "Ethnographic" area which apart from a few exhibits consists basically of the Sainsbury wing African display. I think this is nice, it is not big only about 18" long max. Reminds me of African status staff. Owls are often taken as a symbol of this and the other world, dusk till dawn. I have many other nice pictures but will take a few day to sort out.
I did wipe the case with my sleeve but hard to remove all the public snot and struggle with the flash. |
